Maarten Lankester

Landscape and urban designer, project manager

Maarten is a designer par excellence. Drawing and puzzling he comes to a specific solution for each assignment, from regional projects to public space design. His keen eye on programmes and concepts leads to innovative, comprehensive strategies, for example in his urban design concept and public space design for Oostenburg in Amsterdam. Employment areas and urban restructuring have his special interest.


Maarten was trained as a landscape designer at Larenstein University followed by a two-year Master’s programme in Denmark. Since 2002 he has been a guest lecturer at the Academy of Architecture.
